The story of Lazarus in the Bible shows us that usually there is a process to a miracle. Mary and Martha didn’t get their miracle concerning their brother the first day. He was sick and things got worse before it got better. Lazarus had been dead four days before Jesus got to their home. Sometimes that’s how it goes things go from bad to worse. But we must keep trusting God-believing God expecting him to do the impossible. If you have any area in your life that’s dead-a marriage, relationship, finances, don’t bury it-let God resurrect it!
You have to trust God’s timing. You have to understand that usually there is a time element involved in seeing your prayers answered. This is when you have to exercise your faith and your patience. When Jesus finally showed up, Martha said, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You. That’s faith talking. That’s someone who trusts God’s timing. Do you have “even now” faith; the kind of faith that doesn’t give up even when something looks dead in your life?
In the end, Jesus said to Mary and Martha, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you would see the glory of God?” Jesus simply said, “Lazarus come out” and the dead man came out.
All it takes is one word from God– one supernatural act of God–and your life is changed forever! Don’t pronounce death over your situation! Put your trust in God and exercise “even now” faith! By Lisa Comes
