Jesus operated in wisdom. When others went home to rest, Jesus went to the Mount of Olives to spend time with God. And early in the morning , He came back into the temple and taught people (See John 7:53–8:2). Jesus always spent time with the Father before facing the crowds. If Jesus needed time with God, we need even more time with Him.
Prayer
Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Heavenly Father, make your way plain for me to follow. May my love for You embrace my whole being, Lord Jesus. Teach me true love, that I will listen to You LORD, all your ways bring joy. Father, change my heart to you so I can listen to your instructions and be wise. Thank you father, because wisdom calls for a hearing, “Joyful are those who listen to her” For whoever finds her finds life. In the valleys I have been drawn closer to You, my God and Comforter. My Savior, I worship Your name for You are the risen Christ. Heavenly Father, today I choose to cast my cares on You. Teach me, Holy Spirit, to have a gentle and humble attitude, to obey your decrees until the end. Help me find rest for my soul so that I can love others the way You love me. Father, help me to understand Your love so that I can extend that love to those around me. As I keep my eyes on You, Lord, my faith does not waver. Let me comprehend today the power that raised You from the dead. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin… (Zechariah 4:10)
