The way you respond in your time of adversity shows your readiness to take the next step. “Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent” (Psalm 4:4). “Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let you face smile on us, LORD. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvest of grain and new wine. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe” (Psalm 4:6-8).

God will never waste a trial, but uses them to enlarge us and make us stronger. Resistance builds strength. The way we live is spelled out for us. Stand strong in the face of your adversity. Look inside and examine your life and see if there is anything that is blocking your relationship with Christ. The Bible teaches that purity of conduct includes truthfulness. The Bible teaches that we should be truthful in our representation of ourselves.

Prayer

Listen to my voice in the morning LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Lead me in the right path, O LORD. Make your way plain for me to follow. God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right. O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! For you bless the godly, O LORD; you surround them with your shield of love.
