When God’s give us a task, sometimes we are not sure if we heard it right; we have the question around, for a while we think about it because it is something that goes the opposite direction to what we are use to see or know. It is very interest that we have this message from God “I will be with you”; but we do not meditate on it, but if we meditate on that, and we keep meditating we will learn we have everything that we need, we have all we need; “God”, and when we have God, we are not alone, we have the best army that we can ever imagine, the most powerful army to do what he calls us to do, “For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him” Psalm 34:7. After the death of Moses, the LORD called Joshua to lead the Israelites to the promise land. The LORD said, “No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.” Joshua 1:5. How many times God have told us the same thing. How many times when we pray He answered? One time I was praying and asking God, where are you? And it was a minute of silence that I can never forgot, then He answered, I was always here, it was you that did not pay attention to me, but I was always here with you; when I heard that, I started crying; just to think How I was able to ignore Him. Now I know what I was missing at that time; the same thing God said to Joshua, “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.” Joshua 1:6-7. We are not use to act like this, because we are use to live in the flesh, but we want to change, we want to follow God; then we must act in God’s ways, according to His instructions. He is our only source. His word is clear and brings such a wonderful outcome for us. Stay on His word, do not depart from it. Repeat the word as much as you need, after all these are His instructions “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9.
Stay on His word, “Move forward, I will be with you.” Even though you may feel inadequate, “Move forward, I will be with you.” Know that He is here with you, He is always with you, He is your helper and your fortress.
