What are we doing with the word of God in our lives? How are we changing our lives? After all, days are passing by, what do we do with today? Is today really a gift for us? How are we living today?

We talk about the blessing of God in our lives. We read in the scriptures about the blessing, but must of us get lost after that. Where is the missing link? Could it be the way we are applying the word of God to our lives? Maybe we are just reading, and that‘s the end of it and we do not take the time to meditate and to let that word sink into us. Could it be that we do more than we are suppose to do and we are too impatience to wait for the results? Could it be that we still focusing in ourselves, our ways, our words and that’s our missing link?

The word of God talks about, love, faith, staying focused on Him and on the things that truly matter. “If you fully obey the Lord your God” “If you will obey my commands” “Let God transform you” “Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy” When do we get far from that word? What part we do not understand? Where we get so confused? Could it be when we step in to do it in our way and we forget Him? Or the word for us is simply “Beautiful” and we do not realize that the word of God is the manual for our lives and in order for us to do anything we need to ask him for His help.

We will never do anything buy ourselves, we need His help. He will change us, He will guide us, and He will bless us. “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect” (Romans 12:2).

God, in His mercy and goodness, has given us certain gifts, talents, and capabilities. Could it be that our missing link begins when we use all of that selfishly for our own profit? Who is first in your list? Our personalities, our intelligence, and our capabilities are gifts from Him. If we divert their use for our own profit, we become guilty of selfishness “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17).

Invest your talents for His glory everyday. It is good business for an employee to work for the profit of the owner. When the owner profits, all members profit. So, we should invest for the glory, praise, and honor of God. If God is glorified, we as His partners will be blessed. Our voices, our service, and our abilities are to be employed, primarily, for the glory of God.

Father God, everything we have, You have given us. Lord, give us wisdom to use those gifts completely to do Your will. Help us to find our missing link LORD, and change our hearts for You Father. Help us love others the way You love us. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
