Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name – Psalm 100:4
When thanksgiving is filled with true meaning and is not just the formality of a polite “thank you,” it is the recognition of dependence and “true appreciation” to what we have and where we are in life. You will experience a peace and satisfaction in the Holy Spirit that will overwhelm you with joy when you started thinking about everything that had happened and it is happening!
A spirit of thankfulness makes all the difference. As we offered thanks to God with a grateful heart, you will become overwhelmed by God’s goodness to you. Thank God for those who touch your life. Thanksgiving is recognition of a debt that cannot be paid. We express thanks, whether or not we are able otherwise to reimburse the giver. When thanksgiving is filled with true meaning and is not just the formality of a polite “thank you,” it is the recognition of dependence. Be grateful for all He does and He had done.
Grateful means to “really appreciate”. My friends, we have every reason to be thankful!
Lord God, I know that I am completely dependent upon You. Thank You for daily providing all that my body needs. We praise you that thank you today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
