So many times we act, or re-act, based on our emotions or circumstances. We let the world around us determine how we should feel or what we should do. We believe everything they hear. Don’t let that be you! Give thought to your ways. Submit every decision to the Lord in prayer. Let the Lord guide your steps “Fear the LORD, you godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need” (Psalm 34:9). As you take time to meditate before the Lord and submit your plans to Him, Proverbs says that your ways will be established. Is your heart full with love? The Scripture tells us that God is love. When you plan for what is good, you will find God in the midst of your plans. The Bible tells us “The heart of the godly thinks carefully before speaking; the mouth of the wicked overflow with evil words” (Proverbs 15:28). Are we quick to speak, if we are, take all the time you need to meditate about that! See what it is coming out of your mouth “If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding” (Proverbs 15:32). Are you letting those negative words or evil words from the world or other people in your life get you focused in the wrong direction? The Scripture said, if you put God first, He will crown you with success. If you are not sure which way to take, stop and meditate on God’s word again and again, compare His word with all the offers you are getting, see what is align with His word, ask Him as many times as you need, “…but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing” (Psalm 34:10). Be carful with what you hear or what people are offering “Stay way form fools, for you won’t find knowledge on their lips” (Proverbs 14:7).
LORD, may your gracious Spirit lead us forward on a firm footing.
