“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone”. (Colossians 4:1-6)

Paul wrote those words in prison. Paul kept looking for the open door of opportunity that God would have for him, He kept his eyes on his limitless God. He knew his imprisonment was only temporary. He knew his purpose and nothing was going to hold him back. He had the power of God.

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart” (Colossians 4:2). Paul said, Pray for those opportunities to be opened to you. Walk with determination to accomplish the dreams God has planted in our heart. The prayer of the righteous avails much. It is not our circumstances what is going to determinate what we have to do; is our capacity to accept them. If we open our hearts and ears to God we will understand what He has for us; and if for some reason we are not able to understand, trust Him, because we can trust everything He does. Make sure to understand that we do everything thing for Him.
