Worry means to play the enemy’s lies in your mind over and over again. Worry means we try to control things that are really up to God to control. “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs “(Matthew 6:31-32). So when the urge to worry comes, use it as a reminder to turn your focus on the blessings that you have in your life. Use it as a reminder of what Jesus said “these things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers”. Take a moment and worship the LORD and thank Him for His good and precious promises! Remind yourself that “your eye is a lamp that provided light for your body”. Cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you! “but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs”. Do you hunger for such a walk? Do you long for such joy, peace, contentment, abandonment, and adventure in your own soul? If this is your hunger and desire, then God will do exactly what He has promised to do: He will fill you. Every promise God has ever made, He has kept—or will keep.
“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:28-34
